You can use Chromecast with Chromecast-enabled TVs or TVs that have a Chromecast device plugged in. Here’s how you can cast Glo classes from your desktop, Android, or iOS device:
Desktop (Chrome Browser):
- Open the Chrome browser on your MacBook or PC and play a Glo class.
- Option 1: Look for the cast icon in the lower-right corner of the video screen and click it.
- Option 2: Click the three vertical dots in the upper-right corner of the browser to open the menu. Select “Cast...” from the drop-down options.
- Select the device you want to cast to, and the class will begin playing on your TV.
Android:
- Open the Chrome app or the Glo Android app and play a class.
- Look for the cast icon in the lower-right corner of the video screen (in the Chrome app) or the upper-right corner of the video screen (in the Glo app).
- Tap the cast icon and select the device you want to cast to.
iOS:
- Open the Glo iOS app and navigate to the class page.
- Before you hit play, tap the cast icon in the upper-right corner of the class page. Note: This is different from other devices; the cast option is available before the class starts.
- Select the device you want to cast to, and the class will begin playing on your TV.
Troubleshooting Common Chromecast Issues:
- Ensure all devices are on the same network: Your phone, tablet, and TV must be connected to the same WiFi network. If your TV uses a WiFi extender or other connection, ensure your phone/tablet is also connected to that network.
- Use Chrome on your Android device: If Chromecast doesn’t work from the Glo Android app, try using the Chrome app instead.
- Switch to a desktop browser: If you’re having trouble on iOS, try casting from Chrome on a desktop browser like MacBook or PC.
- Fix a grey screen issue: On Chrome desktop, use the cast option in the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner of the browser.
